About This Product

Taro (Colocasia esculenta), known as Patra in the Indian culinary tradition, is one of the world's oldest cultivated root crops. Its large, elephant-ear corms are rich in starch and dietary fibre, while the broad heart-shaped leaves are central to the Gujarati dish "Patra" โ€” rolled, steamed leaves filled with spiced chickpea flour paste. Grown at 900โ€“1,800 m asl in Kenya, corms are harvested 7โ€“12 months after planting. Certified Organic. Available in 4 KG bulk packs with a 30-day shelf life.
